Babymetal

Formed in 2010, Babymetal is a unique Japanese music group that combines heavy metal styles with J-Pop idol styles. Originally a subset of the idol group Sakura Gakuin, they became an independent group in 2013 after Suzuka Nakamoto's departure. In October 2018, Yui Mizuno ("Yuimetal") left the band due to health issues. During their "Black Night" concert in April 2023, Momoko Okazaki officially joined Babymetal as a touring backup dancer under the name "Momometal".

Babymetal's fusion of genres has gained them international recognition and a dedicated fanbase. Their energetic performances and catchy melodies have made them stand out in the music industry. Influenced by both heavy metal and J-Pop, their sound is a perfect blend of powerful guitar riffs and infectious pop hooks.
