Badfinger is a British pop band that was established in November 1969 in Swansea, Wales. The band was founded by Pete Ham on guitar, piano, and vocals; Joey Molland on guitar, keyboards, and vocals; Tom Evans on bass and vocals; and Mike Gibbins on drums. Known for their melodic sound and catchy hooks, Badfinger gained popularity with hits like "Come and Get It" and "No Matter What." They were often compared to other influential artists such as Raspberries, Emitt Rhodes, Ringo Starr, Todd Rundgren, The Lovin' Spoonful, The Guess Who, The Grass Roots, The Zombies, The Hollies, The Association, Faces, The Monkees, The Left Banke, Harry Nilsson,Tommy James & the Shondells, The Box Tops, The Turtles, Three Dog Night, Blood Sweat & Tears, and The Byrds.

Despite their success in the early 1970s,Badfinger faced financial troubles due to mismanagement of their funds by their manager. This led to internal conflicts within the band which ultimately resulted in tragic consequences. Both Pete Ham and Tom Evans tragically took their own lives in separate incidents.

However,Badfinger's music continues to be celebrated for its timeless appeal. Their songs have been covered by numerous artists over the years, and they remain an influential presence in the pop rock genre.Browse our
