Blaze Foley

American singer/songwriter, Blaze Foley was born on December 18, 1949 in Malvern, Arkansas. Tragically, on February 1, 1989 in Austin, Texas, Foley lost his life while assisting his friend Concho January in defending himself against his violent son Carey January. Despite the outrage from Foley's friends, Carey January was acquitted of murder by reason of self-defense.
