Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore

Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore is a dark jazz band founded in 1992 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. Originally known as "Bohren", the band later expanded their name to "Bohren und Der Club of Gore" as a tribute to the Dutch band that inspired them to play instrumental music. Their unique sound, which they describe as "doom ridden jazz music", was born out of their members' backgrounds in grindcore/hardcore and death/doom metal bands.

Their first official release, a demo tape titled "Luder, Samba und Tavernen", came out in 1993. Since then, Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore has been captivating audiences with their haunting melodies and atmospheric compositions.

With Morten Gass on electric guitar, vocals (in the early years), piano, and various other instruments; Robin Rodenberg on bass guitar and double bass; and Christoph Clöser on saxophones, piano, vibraphone, and more - this talented trio continues to push boundaries within the genre. Former members Reiner Henseleit (electric guitars) and Thorsten Benning (drums/percussion) also made significant contributions during their time with the band.
