David Gilmour

David Gilmour, born on 6th March 1946 in Cambridge, is best known as the guitarist, vocalist and writer with Pink Floyd. He has also made a name for himself through his solo work and collaborations with other renowned artists such as Kate Bush, Paul McCartney, and Pete Townshend.

In June 20, 2019, Gilmour made headlines by selling the majority of his guitar collection accumulated since the 1960s. This included iconic guitars used on landmark Pink Floyd albums. The sale of all 126 guitars fetched an impressive $21.5 million which was generously donated to the ClientEarth organization.
