Emitt Rhodes

Emitt Rhodes was an American multi-instrumentalist and singer, born on February 25, 1950, in Hawthorne, California. He played drums for various groups in the '60s before forming The Merry-Go-Round in 1967. Over the course of his career, he released four solo albums between 1970 and 1973. Notably, he wrote, produced, and played every instrument on three of these albums: *Emitt Rhodes*, *Mirror*, and *Farewell To Paradise*. His music is often compared to artists such as The Left Banke, The Millennium, Colin Blunstone, Badfinger, The Zombies, Harry Nilsson, Dennis Wilson, Sagittarius, The Lovin' Spoonful.

His unique talent as a songwriter and instrumentalist allowed him to create captivating music that resonated with audiences. Emitt Rhodes sadly passed away on July 19th, 2020 but his legacy lives on through his timeless music.
