Gorgoroth

Gorgoroth is a black metal band from Bergen, Norway, formed in 1992 by Infernus (Roger Tiegs). The band takes its name from the dark and lifeless field where evil dwells in The Lord of the Rings. Known for their intense and raw sound, Gorgoroth has never officially published their lyrics.

Between 2007 and 2009, Gorgoroth faced a legal battle over the trademark when Gaahl (Kristian Espedal) and King ov Hell (Tom Visnes) attempted to remove Infernus from the band and claim copyright control over the Gorgoroth name and logo. Despite this feud, Infernus remained as the only original member and composer of Gorgoroth.

The current line-up includes Infernus on guitar since 1992, Tomas Asklund on drums since 2008, and Atteringer (Stefan Todorović) on vocals since 2012. With their unique style and uncompromising approach to black metal music, Gorgoroth continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
