The Whigs

A soul-influenced alternative/indie rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, The Whigs were formed in 1986 by vocalist/guitarist Greg Dulli, guitarist Rick McCollum, bassist John Curley and drummer Steve Earle. Over the years, they released 6 LPs, numerous singles and EPs, and had a couple of different drummers. After disbanding in February of 2001, they temporarily reformed in 2006 to record new tracks for a best-of compilation. In December of 2011, the core group announced their reformation and played several concert and festival dates in 2012 with additional touring members.
