Thomas Fehlmann

Thomas Fehlmann, born in 1957 in Switzerland, is a renowned artist and musician. In 1979, he co-founded the avant-garde band Palais Schaumburg alongside Holger Hiller. After the band disbanded in 1985, Fehlmann focused on his home studio and became known for his work with samplers under the name Ready Made.

In 1988, Fehlmann established Teutonic Beats label, which featured early contributions from notable artists such as Jörg Burger, Wolfgang Voigt, Moritz von Oswald, Sun Electric, and Westbam. It was through this label that Fehlmann formed a friendship with Dr. Alex Paterson of The Orb and went on to contribute to many of The Orb's releases as a part-time member.

Fehlmann's influence extended into the Berlin music scene of the 90s when he became a resident at Tresor Berlin. Alongside Moritz von Oswald and Juan Atkins, he played an integral role in solidifying the Berlin-Detroit connection by forming the group 3MB.

Since 1995, Thomas Fehlmann has been actively involved with Ocean Club - a legendary Berlin-based establishment known for its radio show that has been broadcasting worldwide since 1998.
