Labelcode: LC 11645 West-coast hip-hop label founded in 1991 by [a185511] and [a50513] in Los Angeles, which had its most successful years in the 90s with artists like [a=Snoop Dogg], [a=2Pac] and [a=Dr. Dre]. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and on January 15, 2009, was auctioned to entertainment development company WIDEawake Entertainment Group, Inc. for $18 million. In 2012 New Solutions Financial Corp. (company that owns WIDEawake Death Row) filed for bankruptcy. [l=eOne] bought the rights to Death Row Records' catalog for $6 million in 2013. In 2019, toy company Hasbro acquired eOne for $3.4 billion, thus making Hasbro the new parent owner of both eOne and Death Row Records. In 2021, Hasbro sold eOne Music to Blackstone, an investment banking firm. eOne Music was rebranded as MNRK Music Group later that year. On February 10, 2022, Snoop Dogg announced that he acquired Death Row from MNRK Music Group, and is revived. Snoop Dogg's 20th album BODR was released the following day.
