Isao Tomita

Isao Tomita was a Japanese composer, arranger, and synthesizer player. Born in Tokyo on April 22, 1932, he made significant contributions to the world of music until his passing on May 5, 2016. Tomita's impressive portfolio includes composing the theme music for the Japanese gymnastics team during the 1956 Olympics and creating captivating background scores for notable works such as "The Life Of The Flower" (1960), "The Heaven And The Earth" (1969), "The new Tale Of Heike" (1972), and "Kaishu Katsu" (1974). In addition to his artistic pursuits, Tomita established "Plasma Music" in 1973 and became the first president of Japan Records on July 30, 1980.
