American singer-songwriter, writer and artist, born in Wyoming. He moved to England in the 1980s and is currently living in Wales.

On U Sound is a UK based experimental reggae/dub label founded by Adrian Sherwood. With a rich history and an impressive catalogue of releases, the label has become synonymous with innovative and boundary-pushing music. Adrian Sherwood, also known as *Skip* (artist credits page), is not only the founder but also operates as an artist on the label. It's important to note that On U Sound should not be confused with the US based DJ/club remix label ON-USound.

Related labels such as Pressure Sounds and Green Tea are part of the On U Sound family, showcasing a diverse range of musical styles. EFA released some remastered titles with slightly altered cover artwork before going under in 2004. However, On-U Sound was relaunched in 2002 and made a powerful comeback with Little Axe's album 'Stone Cold Ohio' which marked its resurgence.

The new Jeb Loy Nichols album is twelve sombre but beautiful tracks, with longtime friend and producer Adrian Sherwood swapping his trademark dubwise approach for carefully stripped back arrangements. Acoustic guitar and Jeb’s voice are framed by subtle splashes of horns, cello and percussion, plus keyboard contributions from Martin Duffy (Primal Scream/Felt). Politically charged cover versions (“I Hate The Capitalist System”, “Deportees”) sit amongst more introspective material, including some of the finest songs that Nichols has written to date.
