Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, model, and singer. Born on June 1st, 1926 in Los Angeles, California, she quickly rose to fame as one of the biggest sex symbols of the 20th century. Throughout her career, Marilyn starred in numerous movies and recorded a collection of songs primarily for movie soundtracks. She released less than 30 songs in total, with occasional singles. Marilyn was married to Joe DiMaggio from January to November 1954 and Arthur Miller from 1956 to 1961.

Tragically, Marilyn passed away at the age of 36 due to an overdose of sleeping pills. Despite her untimely death, her legacy continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Her registered surname was 'Mortenson', but she was baptized Norma Jeane 'Baker' by her grandmother.
