Nujabes

Nujabes (pronounced: Noo-Jah-Bess), artist name of Jun Seba, was a Japanese hip-hop music producer. He was the owner of the Tribe record shop in Shibuya, Tokyo, and also ran his own independent record label, Hyde Out Recordings. His music is known for a strong cool jazz influence, frequently using samples from artists like Miles Davis and Yusef Lateef. Nujabes tragically passed away at the age of 36 after a car accident in Tokyo.

As the owner of Tribe record shop and founder of Hyde Out Recordings, Nujabes made significant contributions to the Japanese hip-hop scene. Through his independent label, he released various projects by talented artists such as Uyama Hiroto and Five Deez under the Tribe label.

Nujabes' unique style incorporated elements of cool jazz into his productions, often sampling iconic musicians like Miles Davis and Yusef Lateef. This fusion created a distinct sound that resonated with fans worldwide.
