Spear Of Destiny

Spear of Destiny is a British rock band founded in 1983 by singer and songwriter Kirk Brandon and bassist Stan Stammers. With an ever-changing lineup, the band has had many changes in musical style and members throughout the years. Their punk-influenced power rock sound often has an anthemic feel. Spear of Destiny achieved chart success with their album "Outland" and its hit single "Never Take Me Alive". They have had 10 UK Singles Chart entries, with one reaching the Top 20.

Formed as a successor to Theatre of Hate, Spear of Destiny's original lineup included Kirk Brandon, Stan Stammers, Chris Bell, and Lascelles James. Over the years, they have collaborated with various musicians such as Dolphin Taylor on drums, Alan St Clair on guitar, John Lennard on saxophone, Neil Pyzer on keyboards and additional saxophone, Mickey Donnelly on saxophone, Pete Barnacle on drums, Marco Pirroni (Marco Perron) on guitar,and Volker Janssen on keyboards.

Kirk Brandon is also a member of the supergroup Dead Men Walking. Theatre of Hate was a post-punk/goth-rock band formed in Clapham in 1980 before evolving into Spear of Destiny.
