Tad

Heavy sound from a heavy band. Tad, formed in 1988 by Tom Doyle while living in Seattle, was one of the heaviest bands during the early 90's grunge era. Their music drew more influence from the Melvins rather than the mainstream grunge bands of that time. Despite their talent and popularity, Tad faced continuous legal battles over controversial album covers and promotional material featuring President Clinton smoking a joint. These challenges eventually took a toll on the band members, leading them to pursue other projects.

Tad's current line-up consists of Tad Doyle on vocals and guitar, along with Kurt Danielson on bass. The former line-up included Joel Elman, Joe Garner, and Gary Thorstensen on guitars during different periods between 1988 and 1994. As for drummers, Steve Wied played from 1988 to 1991 followed by Rey Washam in 1991, Josh Sinder from 1992 to 1996, and Mike Mongrain from 1996 to 1999.
