Amebix

Amebix is an influential English band that is considered to be the godfathers of the Crust Punk subgenre. Formed in 1978, they recorded two full-length albums and three EPs before disbanding in 1987. The band briefly reformed in 2008 with a new drummer, but ultimately disbanded again in 2012. Despite their relatively short active period, Amebix's impact on punk music cannot be overstated.

After their initial breakup, one member of the band, The Baron, pursued a career as a self-taught sword-smith while the rest of the group formed another project called Zygote. This venture was short-lived and faded into obscurity by the early 1990s.

In February 2008, Amebix officially reunited without Spider and welcomed new drummer Roy Mayorga. However, in a later interview, Rob "The Baron" Miller announced that Amebix had come to an end in 2012.
