Skids

Scottish punk band, Skids, formed in Dunfermline during the summer of 1977. Comprising Richard Jobson (vocals), Stuart Adamson (guitar), William Simpson (bass), and Tom Kellichan (drums), they burst onto the British music scene with their self-financed Charles EP. Quickly signed to Virgin Records, their anthemic sound captivated audiences. However, internal conflicts led to Adamson's departure in 1981. Despite a brief decline, the band rebounded with a new lineup and achieved commercial success with The Absolute Game album in 1980. Unfortunately, creative differences and a lackluster concept album ultimately led to their dissolution.

In 2017, Skids made a comeback by reuniting and recording new music. They released live albums as well as an acoustic album while extensively touring the UK.

Experience the influential sounds of Skids as they continue to make their mark on the punk rock genre.
