Astor Piazzolla

Astor Piazzolla was an Argentine bandoneon player, orchestra director, and composer known for his contributions to Tango, Tango Nuevo, Classical music, and film scores. He arranged and directed scores for over a hundred films and theater shows throughout his career. Born on March 11th, 1921 in Mar del Plata, Argentina, Piazzolla's musical talent led him to perform with various ensembles such as Sexteto Los Mendocinos and Aníbal Troilo y Su Orquesta Típica. He also formed his own groups including Astor Piazzolla Y Su Quinteto Tango Nuevo. His innovative approach to tango music has made him a legendary figure in the genre.

Throughout his career, Piazzolla released numerous albums under different ensembles such as Astor Piazzolla Y Su Orquesta Típica and Astor Piazzolla Y Su Quinteto Tango Nuevo.
