Bo Diddley

Bo Diddley was an influential American singer, guitarist, and artist. He recorded his best known material for the Checker and Chess labels, scoring hits like "Bo Diddley" (1955), "Mona" (1957), "Say Man" (1959), and "Road Runner" (1960). His trademark rhythm, the Bo Diddley Beat, influenced artists such as Buddy Holly, The Rolling Stones, Jim Morrison, The Yardbirds, and George Thorogood. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 as a performer. Diddley married four times and wrote the hit song "Love Is Strange" under his second wife's name.

Died on June 2nd, 2008 in Archer Florida at the age of 79.
