Cal Tjader

Cal Tjader was an American latin jazz musician, artist, and composer. Born on July 16, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, he became a renowned figure in the genre from the 1950s until his death on May 5, 1982 in Manila, Philippines at the age of 56.

Tjader was best known for his exceptional skills on the vibraphone but also displayed great talent on drums and bongos. His contributions to latin jazz music were highly regarded and he left a lasting impact on the genre.
