Carl Perkins

Carl Perkins (born April 9, 1932, Tiptonville, Tennessee, USA - died January 19, 1998, Jackson, Tennessee, USA) was an American rockabilly musician and songwriter. He earned the nickname "the King of Rockabilly" for his significant contributions to the genre. Perkins was highly acclaimed in the music industry and received numerous accolades throughout his career.

He was honored with inductions into prestigious halls of fame including Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Rockabilly Hall of Fame, and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Additionally, he was a recipient of the esteemed Grammy Hall of Fame Award.
