French disco-electro songwriter, producer, arranger, and drummer born May 24, 1952 in Vitry-sur-Seine, Paris, France. Father of [a=Greg Cerrone], brother of [a767569]. He has released over 25 solo albums, including soundtracks. At aged 18 he was already orchestra-leader at the "Club Mediterranée". When he was 20, he had a very lucrative contract with the French label [l=Barclay]. Together with [a=Giorgio Moroder], they are probably the most pivotal figures of the Euro disco sound.

Marc Cerrone, the French legend of disco, celebrates 45 years of his career by creating this first-time compilation on vinyl: <i>The Best Of Cerrone</i> contains 19 single edit versions of his greatest hits from 1976 to 2021 on double vinyl.
