Chairlift

Chairlift was an American synth pop band formed in 2005 by *Caroline Polachek* and Aaron Pfenning. Originally from Boulder, Colorado, the duo later relocated to Brooklyn, NY in 2007 where they were joined by Patrick Wimberly. After Pfenning's departure in 2010, Chairlift continued as a duo until their disbandment was announced by Polachek and Wimberly in December 2016.

Their unique blend of synth-pop and indie rock garnered them a dedicated following throughout their career. Drawing inspiration from various genres, Chairlift created music that captivated listeners with its catchy melodies and intricate production.

With influences ranging from artists like Perfume Genius and St. Vincent to Twin Shadow and Bat For Lashes, Chairlift's sound resonated with fans who appreciated their innovative approach to pop music. Their discography includes acclaimed albums such as "Moth" (2016) and "Something" (2008), which showcased their evolution as musicians.
