David Ruffin

David Ruffin, born on January 18, 1941 in Whynot, Mississippi, was a gruff-voiced soul singer who made his mark as the lead singer of The Temptations and later as a solo artist. He signed with Motown and achieved great success in the 1960s and 1970s. With hits like "My Girl" and "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," Ruffin captivated audiences with his powerful vocals. Notably, he was also the brother of fellow Motown singer Jimmy Ruffin.
