Eddie Harris

Eddie Harris was an American jazz and funk saxophonist, pianist, vocalist, and composer. He is best known for pioneering the usage of amplified electric Varitone saxophones in the mid-1960s. Born on October 20, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, Harris made significant contributions to the music industry throughout his career. He was often associated with Hargrove Music publisher. Sadly, he passed away on November 5, 1996, in Los Angeles, California.
