Egisto Macchi

Egisto Macchi was a renowned Italian composer born in Grosseto, Italy in 1928. He is best known for his work in creating approximately 50 cinema soundtracks, primarily for Belgian and French films. In addition to his film work, Macchi also contributed musical commentary to around 1000 documentaries and television shows throughout his career.

Macchi's passion for music led him to study under the guidance of Roman Vlad and Herman Scherchen, two influential figures in the world of music. Their mentorship helped shape Macchi's unique style and approach to composition.

Although he passed away in August 1992, Egisto Macchi's contributions to the world of music continue to be celebrated and appreciated by audiences worldwide.
