Fenton Robinson

American blues singer and guitarist, Fenton Robinson was born on September 23, 1935 in Minter City, near Greenwood, Mississippi. He passed away on November 25, 1997 in Rockford, Illinois.

Robinson's musical journey began when he first recorded for Meteor in Memphis, Tennessee in 1957. He then went on to record for Duke in Houston, Texas from 1958-1959 before eventually settling down in Chicago during the early 1960s.

In addition to his own successful records, Robinson collaborated with renowned artists such as Rosco Gordon, Junior Wells, Sonny Boy Williamson, Otis Rush and many others throughout his career.
