Handsome Boy Modeling School

Handsome Boy Modeling School was an American conceptual hip hop duo active between 1999 and 2006. Founded by renowned producers Dan The Automator and Prince Paul, the duo ridiculed a snobbish consumerist faux glam lifestyle through their fictional personas Nathaniel Merriweather and Chest Rockwell. Their debut album, "So... How's Your Girl?" featured an eclectic lineup of guest artists from various genres. Their second album, "White People," expanded the list of collaborators even further. Internal conflicts led to the band's dissolution in 2006.

In 1999, Handsome Boy Modeling School released their debut concept album loosely based on 'The Prettiest Week of My Life,' an episode from a short-lived Fox sitcom. The album featured a diverse range of guest rappers, vocalists, co-producers, comedians, and musicians not typically associated with hip hop. Some notable participants include Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, J-Live, DJ Shadow, Mike D of the Beastie Boys, Biz Markie, De La Soul members Dave Jolicoeur and Kid Koala, Sean Lennon, Miho Hatori of Cibo Matto, and Róisín Murphy.

Their second album "White People" was released in 2004 and included collaborations with artists such as Pharrell Williams,RZA,Cedric Bixler-Zavalaof The Mars Volta,B
