American singer/songwriter Josie Cotton is known for the hits “Johnny Are You Queer,” “See the New Hong Kong,” “Jimmy Loves Maryann” and “He Could Be the One,” the latter she performed in the film Valley Girl.

Cotton owns Los Angeles-based Kitten Robot Records which has reissued her entire catalog along with new Josie Cotton records over the past three years. She is currently signing new artists to Kitten Robot and recording an album of new material slated for 2022 release.

Pussycat Babylon was originally released in 2010 as a limited edition private-label CD. The record has been remastered and appears on vinyl for the first time with revised packaging and full-color insert. The music is synth-heavy, driving pop; the single “Calling All Girls” was ‘Coolest Song of the Week’ on Little Steven’s Underground Garage in December, 2021.
