Kleeer

Kleeer is an American funk/disco band based in New York City. Originally formed in 1972, the band underwent several name changes before settling on Kleeer in 1979. They gained a cult following in both the UK and US with their R&B hits, including "Get Tough" and "Keep Your Body Workin'". With three top 40 entries on the US national charts and two in the top 50 in the UK, Kleeer solidified their place as a prominent force in funk music.

At their inception, Kleeer served as a backup group for The Choice Four during their transition from Baltimore to New York. The band consisted of Richard Lee on guitar, Norman Durham on bass, Gregory Talbot on keyboards, and Woody Cunningham on drums.
