Some mutual friends and a scotch egg later, we had Feet. Jeep rather lazily wrote most of Petty Thieving on a 4 string guitar because he couldn’t be bothered to re string it. It's a magical song with twists and turns at every corner that hints at a love of the Fall and The Libertines. The track is built on a rumbling bass, hard hitting drums and insistent and constantly changing guitar work. The vocals are part spoken, part angry and part tuneful. It all adds up to three minutes and four five seconds of special music. Macho Macho is another gem with jangling guitars and nonchalant vocals that comes across like a Midlands version of The Strokes. Feet are on the radar of every label and this debut 7" will not be around for long.
