Nisennenmondai

A trio from Tokyo Japan, formed in 1999, Nisennenmondai is a band that takes its name from the Japanese term for the Y2K bug. Consisting of Yuri Zaikawa on bass, Sayaka Himeno on drums, and Masako Takada on guitar, they have been making waves in the music scene with their unique sound.

Inspired by various genres including punk rock and techno, Nisennenmondai creates mesmerizing instrumental tracks that are characterized by repetitive rhythms and hypnotic melodies. Their music is often described as experimental and avant-garde, pushing boundaries and challenging traditional notions of song structure.
