Phife Dawg

Malik Isaac Taylor, better known as Phife Dawg, was an American rapper and a member of A Tribe Called Quest. He was born on November 20, 1970 in Queens, New York and passed away on March 22, 2016. Standing at just 5 ft 3 inches tall, he earned the nicknames "The Five Foot Assassin" and "The Five Footer." Phife's name was inspired by the fife, a small flute used in military and marching bands. He was a talented artist who left his mark on the music industry.

Phife Dawg formed A Tribe Called Quest with his high school classmates Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. They were later joined by Jarobi White for a short time. The group became known for their unique sound and innovative approach to hip-hop.

In addition to his musical career, Phife Dawg also made appearances in popular video games such as NBA 2K7 and NBA 2K9 as a playable character. His impact on both the music world and gaming community will always be remembered.
