Album artwork for Waiting For the Sun by The Doors

The Doors' album Waiting For the Sun. Available here on 50th Anniversary 180 Gram LP with Double-CD, Standard LP and CD.

In a marked move from their acid-rock roots, 1968's Waiting For the Sun - The Doors' third studio album - and their only number one - brought forth a softer, mellower sound. Despite the title track "Waiting For the Sun" not appearing on the album, tracks such as "Hello, I Love You" and "Five to One" served as launch pads for the bands real mainstream success. Morrison's poetic license continued to lean on the bizarre and Krieger's bluesy guitar work reflected a distinct change in the bands musical direction.

LP+ - 50th Anniversary Edition 180 Gram LP with Two CDs. 180 Gram LP and the first CD feature remastered stereo mixes of the album. The second CD features 14 completely unreleased tracks: nine recently discovered "rough mixes" from the album recording sessions and five live songs from a 1968 Copenhagen show.
