The Jacobites

The Jacobites, formed in 1982, were a British band consisting of Nikki Sudden, Dave Kusworth, Epic Soundtracks, and Mark Lemon. They played their first gig at the Royal George on May 21, 1982 and continued to perform until January 2, 1986. After disbanding in 1988, Nikki Sudden and Dave Kusworth reunited under the name Jacobites in 1993 when Mammoth Records re-released their first two albums on CD for the U.S. market. The band continued recording music until Nikki Sudden's untimely death in 2006.

With a sound that blended elements of rock and folk music, The Jacobites drew inspiration from artists such as Alastair McDonald, The McCalmans, Gaberlunzie, Ewan MacColl and Archie Fisher. Their unique style resonated with fans who appreciated their heartfelt lyrics and melodic compositions.

Despite facing challenges along their musical journey, The Jacobites remained dedicated to creating meaningful music that touched the hearts of listeners. Their legacy lives on through their recorded works which continue to captivate audiences today.
