The Real Tuesday Weld

The Real Tuesday Weld is a London based alternative band known for their unique blend of old jazz sounds and electronica, which they refer to as 'Antique Beat'. They were pioneers in this style before the rise of Electro Swing artists. With six albums and several EPs released on various international labels including Kindercore (US), Dreamy Records (UK), Motorway (Japan), Bambini (Japan), PIAS (Europe), Crammed (Belgium / France), Six Degrees (US) and their own label Antique Beat (UK). The band has also been involved in multiple film and arts projects. Stephen Coates, the main man behind The Real Tuesday Weld, is not only a musician but also an author of the x-Ray Audio Project dedicated to Soviet bootleg records on x-ray. He also writes music for film, TV, and radio.
