Tyrone Davis

Tyrone Davis was a highly prolific soul blues singer born on May 4th, 1938 in Greenville, Mississippi. He recorded over 25 studio albums and achieved three No.1 R'n'B hits on the Billboard chart. His notable songs include "Can I Change My Mind" (1968), "Turn Back The Hands Of Time" (1970), and "Turning Point" (1975). Davis was discovered by Carl Davis and signed to Dakar Records in 1968, where he released numerous singles produced by Willie Henderson. In the mid-70s, he switched to Columbia Records and worked with producer Leo Graham for seven albums. Later in his career, he signed with Highrise and Malaco Records.

Throughout his career, Tyrone Davis established himself as an influential artist within the soul blues genre. His smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics resonated with audiences worldwide. Notably, he is the brother of Jean Davis from Facts Of Life.
