Jon Boden

Jon Boden is a key member of the modern folk scene. He made a name for himself as one half of the duo Spiers & Boden, but it was with the 11-piece group Bellowhead that they really shook things up. A prolific musician, he has released a series of albums with John Spiers, Bellowhead, Eliza Carthy (as one of her Ratcatchers), guested on numerous other artists' releases and has even found time to release two solo albums.

With influences from artists such as Show Of Hands, Jackie Oates, The Imagined Village, Waterson:Carthy and Eliza Carthy among others, Jon Boden's music is a unique blend of traditional folk sounds and contemporary arrangements.

His collaborations with renowned musicians like Jim Moray, Kris Drever, Martin Simpson and Megson have further showcased his versatility and talent. With an extensive discography featuring artists like Bella Hardy, Ruth Notman and Karine Polwart among others, Jon Boden continues to make his mark in the folk music industry.
