Shonen Knife

Shonen Knife is one of the most famous all-female Japanese pop/rock bands. Formed in Osaka, Japan in 1981, they gained popularity in the US thanks to constant praise from various alternative acts of the early 90s. Known for their energetic performances and catchy tunes, Shonen Knife has become a beloved band both in Japan and internationally.

The current line-up consists of *Naoko Yamano* on vocals and guitars, *Atsuko Yamano* on bass and backing vocals, and *Risa Kawano* on drums and vocals. Together, they create a unique sound that blends elements of pop and rock with a touch of punk attitude.

In addition to their original music, Shonen Knife also occasionally performs as a Ramones cover band under the name Osaka Ramones. This tribute to one of their biggest influences showcases their versatility as musicians.
