Valentina Magaletti

Valentina Magaletti is a multi-genre Italo-British drummer, percussionist, and composer based in London, UK. She has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Raime, Nicolas Jaar, Jandek, Helm, Malcom Catto, Charles Hayward, Bat for Lashes, Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals), Can Project, Philip Selway. Her influences include Ikue Mori, Georgia Hubley, Jaki Liebezeit and more.

Valentina was one half of the duo Tomaga with bassist/multi-instrumentalist Tom Relleen. She is also a member of the critically acclaimed experimental pop quartet Vanishing Twin and the supergroup UUUU. In 2017 she played drums as part of surviving Can member Irmin Schmidt's The Can Project alongside Thurston Moore and Steven Shelley of Sonic Youth.

In addition to her collaborations and band memberships, Valentina has released music under her solo name and Due Matte. She has performed or composed music released on various labels including Editions Mego, Trilogy Tapes, Offen Records and many more.
