Vexed

Vexed was a Seattle band formed in 1984 from the ashes of Death of Marat and The Drills. With Milton Garrison on guitar and Alfred Butler on bass, they created a unique style that blended post punk, funk, art, and death rock. Unlike the sludgy grunge sounds of the Northwest, Vexed stood out.

They made their debut in 1985 with the song "Six Foot Hole" on the compilation cassette "Pyrrhic Victory: A Goal Attained At Too Great a Cost." This release featured other notable bands like Soundgarden and Skin Yard. Over the years, Vexed appeared on several compilations before releasing their own material.

In 1990, they released their first non-compilation EP called "Maybe," which later became part of their LP "The Good Fight." During this time, they also contributed to the famous C/Z compilation "Teriyaki Asthma" with their song GWYM (Go West Young Man).

The band broke up but reformed in 1992 with drummer Buzz Crocker from Alcohol Funnycar. In 1994, they released an eight-song LP titled "Cathexis" under C/Z records.
