Peaceville is an English label founded by Paul Halmshaw, also known as Hammy, in 1987. The label primarily focuses on metal music and has gained a reputation for its high-quality releases. In 2000, Peaceville was sold to Snapper Music but continues to thrive under their ownership.

Throughout its history, Peaceville has used various catalog number formats to distinguish different types of releases. From 1987 to 1995, the label used "VILE ### T" for 12-inch singles, maxis, and EPs; "VILE ###" for LPs; and "VILE ### P" for picture LPs. From 1987 to 2002, CD releases were labeled as "CDVILE### / VILE ### CD," while MCDs/singles/EPs were labeled as "CDMVILE### / VILE ### TCD." Limited CDs were marked with "CDXVILE###."

In later years, Peaceville introduced new catalog number formats such as "CC#" for the Collectors Club series of 7-inch records in 1993-1994. Morta Skuld is an American death metal band hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Originally active from 1990-1998, they have since reformed in 2012. With their powerful and aggressive sound, Morta Skuld has established themselves as one of the prominent figures in the death metal scene.
Inspired by bands such as *Morpheus Descends*, *Rottrevore*, and *Banished*, Morta Skuld's music combines intense guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and guttural vocals to create a dark and atmospheric experience for their listeners. Their unique blend of brutality and melody sets them apart from other acts in the genre.

Autopsy is a death metal band formed in San Francisco in 1987 by ex-Death drummer Chris Reifert, who also handles vocals. The band consists of guitarists Eric Cutler and Danny Coralles, and bassist Ken Sorvari. Autopsy gained recognition with their demo "Critical Madness" in 1988, leading to a record deal with Peaceville records. Their debut album "Severed Survival" was released two years later and featured bass tracks from Steve DiGiorgio of Sadus.

In 1991, Autopsy released two EPs, "Fiend for Blood" and "Retribution for the Dead," as well as an LP titled "Mental Funeral." Despite the release of their third full-length album "Acts of the Unspeakable," which included new bassist Josh Barohn (formerly of Suffocation), the band struggled to gain traction. However, this album became known for its disturbing cover art.

After a period of little activity, Autopsy returned in 1995 with the album "Shitfun," featuring yet another new bassist Freeway Migliore. Following its release, the band disbanded and pursued other projects. In 2001, they released the compilation album "Torn from the Grave."

This is followed by original UK greats Cancer presenting a brand new &amp; exclusive track in the form of 'Enter The Gates', a malicious dose of old school metal in Cancer's distinguishable fashion, leading on to a brand new 2023 "re-dip" cover version of the classic 'Into The Acid' from the band's debut, 'To The Gory End'.
