The roots of Chrysalis stretch back to a tiny flat in West London in 1967, when former university social secretaries, Chris Wright and Terry Ellis, linked their flair for managing and booking bands to form the Ellis Wright Agency. After trying to release their bands' records via other companies, they decided to start their own label.

In 1968, they signed a licensing deal with Island Records with the proviso that if their acts achieved an agreed number of hits, they would be awarded a label of their own. Within a year, this tally was reached and Chrysalis Records was born.

Over the years, Chrysalis went through various ownership changes. In 1985, Chris Wright bought out Terry Ellis and later sold the label to EMI in 1991. EMI was then acquired by Universal Music Group in 2012 before selling the Parlophone Label Group (including Chrysalis) to Warner Music Group in 2013.

Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine is an English indie rock band that was founded in 1988 in London. The band was formed by singer Jim "Jim Bob" Morrison and guitarist Les "Fruitbat" Carter after the dissolution of their previous project. Known for their energetic live performances, they were often introduced as "The best kick arse Rock 'n' Roll band in the whole god damn world". In 2014, Carter USM reunited for a series of final shows, with their last performance taking place on November 22nd at [l296310].

Newly remastered by Phil Kinrade at AIR Mastering and pressed on 180g blue (LP1) and yellow (LP2) translucent vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve with poly-lined inner bags.

Formed in 1987 by Les "Fruitbat" Carter and Jim "Jim Bob" Morrison, Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine burst onto the scene with their signature style of punk-pop infused with samples, drum machines, and social commentary. 1992 The Love Album was Carter USM's debut release on Chrysalis Records and reached the No. 1 spot album on the UK Album Chart in May 1992, propelling the band to pop stardom.

This expanded edition features the complete album in it's original running order on LP 1 - including the band's biggest chart hit 'The Only Living Boy In New Cross' which reached No. 7 on the UK Singles Chart plus Top 40 singles 'Do Re Me, So Far So Good' and 'The Impossible Dream' (a cover of the Man of La Mancha standard). LP 2 features '1992 - The Other Love Songs', the complete collection of B-sides from the period plus the non-album Top 20 A-side 'After The Watershed (Early Learning The Hard Way)'.
