Go West are an English pop duo, formed in 1982 by lead vocalist Peter Cox and rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist Richard Drummie who had first met back in 1974. The *duo* enjoyed their peak of popularity between the mid 1980s and the early 1990s.
With their catchy melodies and infectious pop sound, Go West captivated audiences during their heyday. Their music resonated with fans across the globe, earning them a place among the most beloved acts of the era.

The roots of Chrysalis stretch back to a tiny flat in West London in 1967, when former university social secretaries, Chris Wright and Terry Ellis, linked their flair for managing and booking bands to form the Ellis Wright Agency. After trying to release their bands' records via other companies, they decided to start their own label.

In 1968, they signed a licensing deal with Island Records with the proviso that if their acts achieved an agreed number of hits, they would be awarded a label of their own. Within a year, this tally was reached and Chrysalis Records was born.

Over the years, Chrysalis went through various ownership changes. In 1985, Chris Wright bought out Terry Ellis and later sold the label to EMI in 1991. EMI was then acquired by Universal Music Group in 2012 before selling the Parlophone Label Group (including Chrysalis) to Warner Music Group in 2013.

First released in 1987, Dancing On The Couch was Go West's follow-up to their platinum certified self-titled debut album. The album finds Peter Cox and Richard Drummie continuing to explore their signature pop-soul sound, and includes the singles 'True Colours', 'I Want To Hear It From You', 'From Baltimore To Paris', and 'The King Is Dead' (with guest backing vocals from Kate Bush).

This new release marks the first vinyl reissue of Dancing On The Couch, featuring the original album newly remastered by producer Gary Stevenson, plus a second LP of B-sides, rarities, and remixes including a previously unreleased extended mix of 'The King Is Dead'.

This new deluxe edition includes the original album newly remastered by producer Gary Stevenson, a second CD of B-sides, rarities, and previously unreleased material, a third CD featuring the Hammersmith Odeon show recorded on the 'Runaway Train' tour in 1987, plus a DVD featuring promo videos from the period and the Hammersmith concert (on DVD for the first time).
