Grateful Dead were an American rock band that formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1965. With a career spanning from 1965 to 1995, they left an indelible mark on the music industry. Originally established in 1964 as "The Warlocks," the band quickly gained popularity for their unique sound and improvisational style.The Grateful Dead's music encompassed various genres including rock, folk, blues, and psychedelic rock. Their live performances were legendary, known for their extended jams and eclectic setlists that kept fans coming back for more. The band's members included Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, and Ron "Pigpen" McKernan.Throughout their career,&nbsp;Grateful Dead released numerous albums that became iconic within the counterculture movement of the time. Some of their most notable works include "American Beauty," "Workingman's Dead," and "Europe '72." Even after disbanding in 1995 following Garcia's untimely death, their legacy continues to resonate with music lovers worldwide.

Rhino Records, also known as Rhino, is a renowned music label that was established in 1973 by Richard Foos. Starting as a record store in Westwood California, Rhino quickly gained recognition with its first successful release "Go To Rhino Records" by Wild Man Fischer in 1975. The label's early logo featured "Rocky the Rhino" and focused on novelty, surf, local new wave bands, and reissues of out-of-print records from other labels.

Under the guidance of Bill Inglot for production, Ken Perry for mastering, and A&R team Gary Stewart and James Austin, Rhino expanded its catalog to include a wide range of reissues by the mid-1980s. The label underwent a logo redesign during this time period to simply "Rhino". In 1984, Rhino released its first CD and became known for manufacturing high-quality CDs made by Sanyo (1984-85) and various manufacturers from Japan or Switzerland thereafter.

In 1985, Rhino entered into a distribution deal with Capitol Records which lasted until 1992. This partnership allowed access to Capitol's back catalog and led to the release of reissues of old Capitol albums. Additionally, EMI and Rhino acquired the Roulette family of labels in 1989. As their deal with Capitol came to an end in 1992, Time-Warner offered an opportunity for growth. Half of the label was sold to Time-Warner

2CD - The two-CD and set, features the album’s seven original songs and previously unreleased demo recordings of “Eyes Of The World” and “Here Comes Sunshine.” Recorded in early 1973, just before the Grateful Dead performed on February 9th, the demos feature Jerry Garcia singing and playing a pair of new songs he and Robert Hunter had been creating. He presumably shared them with the rest of the band members so they could start learning, and amongst these demos was this beautiful, primitive rendition of "Eyes Of The World." It provided the basis of what would become one of the Dead's most beloved and frequently played songs for the next 20+ years. Additionally, the deluxe edition includes a bonus disc of live material from the final night of a brief tour that immediately followed Wake Of The Flood ’s release. Captured at Northwestern University’s McGaw Memorial Hall on November 1st, 1973, the set is bookended with “Weather Report Suite” and “Mississippi Half-Step,” and features one of the most creative and inspired jams of the entire run: “Morning Dew”&gt;”Playing In The Band”&gt;”Uncle John's Band”&gt;”Playing In The Band.”
