The Grand Jury is an independent record label based in New York City.

Hovvdy (pronounced "Howdy") is a duo known for creating a nostalgic, comforting blend of indie rock, folk and pop. Based in Austin, Texas, members Charlie Martin and Will Taylor met in 2014 at a baseball game and formed the band that same year. Initially drummers, they decided to merge as a group after realizing their musical compatibility.

In 2014, Hovvdy released their first EP titled "ep," which was recorded in various bedrooms across Texas. Their debut album "Taster" came out in 2016 through Sports Day Records. The following year, they signed with Double Double Whammy who reissued "Taster" and released their second album "Cranberry" in 2018. In 2019, their third album "Heavy Lifter" showcased an expansion into more upbeat folk-pop sounds.

After self-releasing two singles in 2020, Hovvdy announced their signing to Grand Jury Music in 2021 along with the upcoming release of their fourth full-length LP titled "True Love."

Super limited single on Tape. Austin indie folk duo made their Grand Jury debut with True Love. Recorded over winter 2020 in LA with Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Bon Iver, etc.). This album is about growth and nostalgia. Both band members got married. One had a kid. They’ve found themselves individually away from the band, but settling into their most creatively fertile moment as a duo.
