Josh Wink is an electronic music DJ, label owner, producer, and remixer. He was born on April 20, 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. In October 1994, he formed Ovum Recordings as an independent label with former partner King Britt.
Known for his unique style and innovative sound, Josh Wink has established himself as a prominent figure in the electronic music scene. His music combines elements of techno, house, and acid to create a distinct and captivating sound that resonates with audiences worldwide.
Influenced by artists such as Dave Clarke, Slam, Laurent Garnier, and Radio Slave among others; Josh Wink's productions have garnered critical acclaim and have been embraced by fans across the globe. With his extensive discography and impressive remixes for renowned artists like Plastikman and Sven Väth; Josh Wink continues to push boundaries and redefine the genre.

Prolific New York City-based house label, Strictly Rhythm, was established in 1989 by music executive Mark Finkelstein and A&R Gladys Pizarro. The label quickly gained recognition and expanded into Europe under the leadership of Phil Cheeseman. Throughout the 1990s, Strictly Rhythm not only released its own music but also manufactured and distributed independent labels. After a brief UK subsidiary in 2001, the label folded in October 2002 but regained control four years later. Relaunched in 2006 with Defected, Aaron Ross became the A&R manager. In 2013, BMG Rights Management acquired the label's catalogue while still releasing new recordings. Finally, in 2019, BMG acquired the brand name.
