Acid Jazz is a British label that was established in 1987 by Eddie Piller and Gilles Peterson. Although Peterson left in 1989 to form Talkin' Loud, the label continued to thrive under the management of Dean Rudland. The name 'Acid Jazz' was a playful response to the popular 'acid house' movement of the late 80s. Despite its name, Acid Jazz produced records that were not necessarily jazz or acid music, but they quickly became synonymous with 90s style and sophistication. In fact, the term 'acid jazz' began being used to describe any record with a similar vibe. Today, Acid Jazz remains an influential force in the music industry.

Leroy Hutson is an American vocalist, keyboardist, songwriter and producer. Born on June 4th, 1945 in Newark, New Jersey, he has made significant contributions to the music industry.
Having been a roommate of Donny Hathaway, Leroy co-wrote the 1970 hit "The Ghetto". In 1971, he took over as the lead singer of The Impressions after Curtis Mayfield's departure. However, Leroy left the group in 1973 to pursue a solo career while remaining with the Curtom label until December 1979.
As a talented artist with his own unique style and sound, Leroy Hutson owns Triumph Records (17). His music resonates with fans who also enjoy artists such as Lamont Dozier, Leon Ware, The Natural Four and many others from various genres.

Deluxe reissue of Leroy Hutson’s 1976 album Feel The Spirit featuring for the only time the Free Spirit Symphony. Released in the same year as the famous Hutson II, Feel The Spirit includes popular tracks such as Never Know What You Can Do (Give It A Try) and Lover’s Holiday. Both the CD and LP come with a full colour innersleeve complete with in-depth notes by award winning soul expert Tony Rounce.
