Crazy Horse is an American rock band best known for their association with <en>Neil Young</en>. They have been co-credited on many of Young's albums, co-billed as "Neil Young (and/with) Crazy Horse" on 11 studio albums and numerous live albums. They have also released six studio albums of their own between 1971 and 2009.

The original lineup of Billy Talbot (bass), Danny Whitten (guitar), and Ralph Molina (drums) first came together in 1963 in the group Danny & The Memories, who later became The Rockets. Neil Young renamed the trio "Crazy Horse" when he recruited them as his backing band in 1969. Nils Lofgren first worked with the group alongside Neil Young in 1970, and has continued to record and perform with them intermittingly through the years. Danny Whitten died of a heroin overdose in November 1972, and the Crazy Horse name was briefly retired. Talbot, Molina, and Lofgren continued to play with Young as part of The Santa Monica Flyers on the album Tonight's the Night and touring during this time.

Neil Young is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter and musician known for his solo releases, collaborations with other artists, and his activism on environmental and political issues. He plays guitar, keyboards, and harmonica. Born in Toronto, Canada in 1945, Young currently holds dual citizenship for Canada and the United States. He has been living in California since the sixties. In 1995, he was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame as a performer. Despite facing delays due to his marijuana use, Young successfully became a United States citizen.
Young's musical career spans several decades and genres including folk rock, country rock, and grunge. As an influential figure in the music industry, he has released numerous critically acclaimed albums both as a solo artist and with various bands such as Crosby Stills Nash & Young (CSNY).
In addition to his musical pursuits, Neil Young also runs Vapor Records - an independent record label that supports emerging artists. His passion for environmental causes led him to co-found Farm Aid - an annual benefit concert that raises funds for family farmers.
